The Namibia Red Cross donated school shoes to four different schools in Grootfontein, Otjozodjupa region.
This is under the Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) and HIV/AIDS program that aims to give psychosocial and material support to OVC, people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHIV) through home-based care (HBC), and adolescent girls and young women.
The beneficiaries are mostly drawn from OVCs in the age group of 6–17 years, as well as other adolescent girls and boys.The project is funded by the Japanese Red Cross Society 日本赤十字社, through the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
