Vice Chairperson Festus Alukolo calls on the nation to practice good hygeine.

The Vice Chairperson of the Namibia Red Cross Society Governing Board, Festus Alukolo has called on the nation to exercise good hygiene practices at all times, if Namibia is to win the war against diseases such as the current outbreak of Hepatitis E.

The disease which was detected in December last year in some informal settlements in Windhoek is reported to have spread to other parts of the country such as Omusati and Kavango. Alukolo was speaking at the commemoration of the Health and Hygiene Promotion Month held in the Samora Machel Constituency of Windhoek. The annual event was organized by the City of Windhoek in partnership with UNICEF, the Namibia Red Cross Society and other stakeholders.
